Open Source adoption on the rise

Since Lateral Minds introduced Alfresco into the region in June '06 we have seen a significant rise in the adoption of Open Source technologies in general, and Alfresco in particular. Companies like Sensis, Leighton Contractors, Allianz Insurance and Universites such as Curtin University of Technology and the Australian National University have all chosen to leverage the Open Source benefits of Alfresco to deliver significant returns. Globally, Alfresco have been gaining momentum with new customers joining up every quarter including private sector companies such as the American Stock Exchange, Electronic Arts and Japan Air Lines as well as public sector organisations such as the Court of Justice of the European Communities, The Defence Academy of the United Kingdom and the State of Nebraska in the US.

Locally we are currently piloting Alfresco in a number of large Enterprises, who are keen to leverage the flexibilty and performance of the architecture as well as the cost benefits of the Open Source subscription model (No up-front license fee).
